Our Facility

We operate two kitchens at our 12,000 square-foot facility in Dorchester, MA: a shared commercial kitchen, home to over 45 small food businesses, and a commissary kitchen that allows us to offer small-batch contract manufacturing to member companies, farms and other food businesses as they scale. We also offer warehousing to CommonWealth Kitchen member companies. See below for more information, including a photo tour of our commercial kitchens and a list of equipment. 


In total, our storage space and equipment includes the following:

  • Over 3,000 sq ft dry storage
  • 2,000 sq ft cold storage
  • 1,300 sq ft frozen storage
  • Shared office space and conference room

Food Truck Amenities

In addition to kitchen space, CommonWealth Kitchen offers the following amenities to food trucks:

  • Food truck parking (please note that food truck parking is currently full)
  • Access to overnight plug-in
  • Food truck-height loading dock
  • Pressure washer for clean-out
  • Water hookup and drain for filling and draining graywater tank
